WHO WE ARE

emerging_spirit_logo.preview.jpg

We are a congregation of the United Church of Canada and you can find us in the Scarborough suburb of the City of Toronto. For almost 50 years, we have been shaped by a myriad of demographic, social and lifestyle changes that have fostered the emergence of an eclectic and richly diverse community.

In other words, a challenging environment that calls for a flexible, people-centred ministry that reaches out with love and respect to seekers, doubters, believers and those of differing faith experiences. We invite you to join us as we explore new ways of ensuring that we are a compassionate community presence responding to the very human need to ask questions, to share dreams, to connect with those we love, to express love to those whose names we may never know. We invite you to join us in celebrating the Creator's gift of life.

WELCOME!

We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am.  Church school for children aged 3 - 12 is held in the auditorium along with the Youth Group.  Children and youth worship with their families for the first 15 minutes of the service and then leave for church school following the  story time.  There is nursery care at the back of the Sanctuary.
